2026 D62 Field Mechanics Training Dates

All umpire volunteers are encouraged to attend one of the in-person  field mechanics trainings. The first one is geared towards juniors umpires ages 10-17.

01/25/2026 - Junior Umpire on field mechanics training (1pm-4pm at Ocean View Little League)
02/07/2026 - Umpire field mechanics training (9am – 12pm at Fountain Valley Little League) - Pre-register here.
02/07/2026 - Umpire field mechanics training (1pm – 4pm at Costa Mesa Little League, CM High School fields) - Pre-register here.
02/22/2026 - Umpire field mechanics training (1pm – 4pm at Huntington Valley Little League)

D62 Rules Trainings:

 All levels are heavily encouraged to attend the kick-off rules meeting.

02/04/2026 -  Annual coach/manager/umpire season rules kick off meeting (6:30 - 8:30pm at Old World Village – Main Hall)
02/11/2026 - Rules Training #1 (6:30pm - 8:30pm at Old World Village – Main Hall
02/18/2026 - Rules Training #2 (6:30pm - 8:30pm at Old World Village – Main Hall
02/25/2026 - Rules Training #3 (6:30pm – 8:30pm at Old World Village – Main Hall
03/04/2026 - Rules Make Up Meeting (6:30pm – 8:30pm held via Zoom)

D62 Certifications
For umpires pursuing 2026 D62 certification the requirements are:
- attendance at 1 of the in-person trainings on 2/7 or 2/22
- attendance at the certification training 3/15 (9am - 1pm at Huntington West Little League)
- attendance at the 3 rules meetings (or 2 in-person and 1 make up zoom meeting)
- working 2 games with a D62 Staff umpire (mentor games), 1 plate, 1 base.
